Several years ago, the digital LCD screen was introduced as a lighter and slimmer alternative to CRT computer monitors. Consumers’ responses were dramatic. LCDs produce images by projecting light onto a series of liquid crystals sandwiched between glass rectangles. They generate great pictures at affordable prices.

When used to form LCD HDTVs, the popularity of these screens increased tenfold. They give out accurate color and astounding clarity to product very realistic color images. LCD HDTVs retain a bright, clear image better than most plasma TVs even under varying light conditions. LCDs are also inherently anti glare so these sets look great in almost any situation.
