Music to My Ears

Do the kids today know how things were like during their parents’ teenage years? My kid is only a toddler. My friend’s kids are teenagers. They spent last weekend buying discount MP3 players. These mp3 players are so small and so powerful. They can play hundreds and some even thousands of songs. Back in the 70s we had records that played about 10 or 15 songs only.

Back then, records were big and delicate. They came in cardboard album covers. Then after a few years the cassette tape was invented. The tape was more portable to bring along, it was small and light. Then the Compact Disc became the craze. However even the CD looked big compared to today’s MP3 players. I might as well get my own discount MP3 player so I can save on space around the house.
