Culinary steam filters
There are different grades and surface finishes of stainless steel. They do not corrode or rust and stains less compared to ordinary steel. Stainless steels’ resistance to corrosion, its low maintenance and relatively low cost make it an ideal base material for a host of commercial purposes. Common uses are cutlery, jewelry, surgical instruments, major appliances and in industrial applications. Their use in commercial kitchens and food processing plants has been widely accepted because it can be steam cleaned and sterilized.
Effective sterile air or gas filtration is necessary in food processing plants to reduce batch contamination, spoilage and product loss. Culinary steam filters are capable of removing 95% of the particles 2 microns and larger. This is just as important in pharmaceutical plants to protect the medicines from harmful submicron particle contamination and bacterial transfer or growth. It also helps protect production yield, especially in high-tech industries like electronics, plating and magnetic media where submicron particle contamination can significantly reduce yields. Their use has become a standard good manufacturing practice.
