Every aircraft needs an ELT so that it can be easily located in case of a crash. There are several ELT’s out there so you can choose the best for your aircraft. If you are getting a 406 ELT, these must be registered with NOAA.

You can choose from several brands that make 406 ELT’s. But they usually have the same basic features that are required by law. You are always assured that your location will be pointed precisely with an ELT installed in you aircraft. They run on their own battery so they don’t need electrical connections from the aircraft. And they are always contained in a heavy duty case so they won’t get easily damaged in a crash.
