Lots of people want high definition or HD in their TV’s, DVD players, and other video display gadgets. One way the media manufacturers have responded is by creating a new technology called Blu Ray. This enables the recording, rewriting and playback of HD video and it can store large amounts of data on Blu Ray discs. So you won’t need multiple discs to save hours of video on ordinary CD’s.

You will need a Blu Ray DVD player to be able to view Blu ray discs. But you can still view your ordinary DVD’s and CD’s on your new player as long as you have a BD/DVD/CD compatible pickup unit. This technology is being pushed forward by most of the world’s leading consumer electronics companies. So, you will be saying goodbye to your old gadgets for the new Blu Ray technology.
