Monitoring Mom
My mom has been sick with diabetes and add to that has a heart ailment which need to be properly monitored at all times. I have moved back to our home in order to take better care of her, as my father is already too old to work his way around the house and attend to my mother’s needs. She constantly needs to be looked after particularly to control her food.
I make use of a sphygmomanometer at different times of the day to check on her blood pressure. I also check her blood sugar each morning to see whether all levels are normal. This way we would know if she needs to be rushed to the hospital to prevent anything bad to happen during the day, since I would need to come to work. As her daughter, it is my obligation to take care of her the way she took good care of me when I depended on her for everything.
